I have four dogs. 3 are terrified of vacuum cleaners. One does not care. Same dog does not care about thunder or fireworks. It’s “meh” unless the thunder rattles the windows. Then he is not scared, but irritated.
i did not not Know loud music , vacuum , running the bath with my dog there that it hurts his ears , that he could not hear danger noises , doorbells , squirrel chirps . he is gone now but it makes me feel guilty , i would have to fight him into the upstairs bath , after i found out run then the water first ,THEN bring him magic , he walked right in . the monster vacuum he would go as far in the house away as he could .
This is where I have a problem “Chip”. I have never known a Labrador to be afraid of the vacuum cleaner. In fact, my yellow lab wags it’s tail violently when I bring out the vac. He loves it when I vacuum him.

Nature (and dogs) naturally abhor a vacuum!

I’m pretty sure smart phones are the real soul-sucking monsters.

The dogs may be right. A vacuum sucks things up indiscriminately, so why not souls also?

My Sable Collie and Golden Retriever both LOVED to be "Vaccummed’, so long as I stayed away from their ears and faces.

Yup—those vacuums must be terrifying to dogs. I wouldn’t blame ’em, if I were in their shoes.
’Evening, Crew.
