    Usually, the boss tells Accounting to ignore the bill for another thirty days…

    Reminds me of a company I worked at, which had a policy to set bills aside for at least forty-five days after receipt… of course, it wanted its own invoices paid immediately… Then our president complained that vendors were not honoring the early payment discounts that they offered, despite our company not paying until well past the due dates…
