Shred the book because it’s not politically correct!

    The shredder seems pretty anachronistic.

Is it too late to switch to “To Serve Man”?

If only kids were taught history and vocabulary. Our race has always been known as mankind. It is not sexist, people are just woefully uninformed.

Gosh, Red you are so with the times! I’m so proud! But I think just shredding a book is not the answer.

No, Red! Don’t go woke! You’re smart enough to know mankind includes both genders.

Yes, let’s shred the book and erase history just because there wasn’t a woman included on the original mission. What an irresponsible message to pass along to kids. I don’t think I’ll be following your comic anymore, Mr. Basset.

Does the book refer to one man?

You know that single individual that was “in space”.

No it didn’t, therefore for anyone with any kind of brains would realize that “man” refers to “mankind” which includes all humans.

And even if one was to take the extreme view that they in fact meant “male” when using “man” the book was written in 1957 and at that point there wasn’t any women that had been in space.

References like these do nothing, but divide people for no good reason.
