Sorry to throw a damp sponge on this one, but an indoor spider will die outside. House spiders have evolved to live in houses, thus “house” spiders. Cheers
Spiders are usually disturbingly fast; the glass and cardboard trick isn’t 100% effective. Hit them on a wall and they manage to bounce behind the heaviest furniture in the room. I try, but if they don’t cooperate, they die. I was bitten once while asleep,resulting in a doctor visit, and I now take them very seriously.
I will not kill a rattlesnake, unless it’s in an area where it poses a particular threat. That said, I have a degree of arachnophobia. A spider on me, or in my house, is dead.
