Radio Shack was founded in 1921 when radio was the only thing going.
I can’t believe the company is still around.
Maybe it’s time for a name change…
…any ideas?

Electronics Boutique? No, they just sell video games.

EB is owned by Game Stop anyway. They could all change their names and sell the name.

Radio Shack was a cool store in the 1980’s when personal computers first hit the market. They use to develop innovative products. They were unique and stood out. Now, they are totally irrelevant and run by a bunch of marketing dweebs that destroyed the only thing good about the company. I doubt that they even have an R&D department anymore. The only store that appeals to electronic hobbyist now is Fry’s Electronics. The Radio Shack name fits them perfectly since they have become nothing more than a mere footnote in the history of personal electronics.

What would be a good name change for Radio Shack? Ooops! I meant RadioShack. (No really; they changed it a while back.)
Aug. 6, 2009, following the lead of famous comic strip “Ink Pen” and this forum, RadioShack stores (not the corporation) became known as The Shack.
Thank you Phil and thanks to this forum for helping force the change of image from something vaguely electronic to something wooden and rotting.

I hate it when you ask an obvious question, and then someone thinks it such a big deal and then they say: No,(Insert sarcastic comment here.)
