These calls are pain. I am Ret. Police and when active I never heard of some of the organizations they say they represent. Some of these organizations spend so much on salary’s ,promotion etc. the organization they say they represent gets a very small percentage of what is collected. And many donations are NOT tax deductible. So be informed and be carful.
“Behalf of” is the key phrase. While the mentioned organization gets some money, most of it is consumed by “administration”, i.e. paying for all those annoying calls. I say let the organizations have a bake sale or a pancake breakfast and cut out the middlemen.

Scam. I got a call from them and they told me to put the money in an envelope and tape it to my door and they would come and get it!!! WHAT!
