They tried to draft me. I got out of it on a typographical error. I was 8 years old, not 18. I ended up going to the Persian Gulf when the hostages were in Iran. My war didn’t quite happen & I’m not complaining. Okay, I’ll complain; Trump’s buddy Steve Bannon was a shipmate, & he’s always been a butthead.
I am sure this sentiment has been expressed many times before but it bears repeating. We Americans are deeply divided and intolerant of each other. We pick sides and use simplistic rhetoric to accuse and insult the other. This is a democracy. The choices we make matter. We have made terrible choices because of our intolerance. If we do not come together, we have no future. This chicken hawk debate serves no useful purpose. It only divides us.

I didn’t serve. (Medical exemption. Not bone spurs.) I never regretted it. Not. For. One. Second.
But I salute all those who did.

I think there has been a Greg Norman golf course ( and lots of other resort development) there for over 10 years. Is this a new strip or a throwback?

No regrets at all that the draft ended the year I was #15 on the list of those to be called up.

I’m probably wrong here, I mean I smell the sarcasm, but I’m sort of liking the concept.
