How do you know that Elmont is a college graduate? I’m not saying he isn’t, I just wondered how you knew that — and his having said so is no proof since Elmont is delusional!

It’s odd we’re still having the conversation about career paths, federal funding, and the viability of degrees in intellectual studies. If the plague has taught us nothing, and indeed, some seem recalcitrant to learning, it should be that living to work doesn’t work. I’m a retired bridge builder, by the way.

Lumpenproletariat: the unthinking lower strata of society exploited by reactionary and counter-revolutionary forces. Those days also Trumpproletariat.

Those Liberal Arts degrees come in handy for people who are less acquisitive than their Yuppie Scum forebears. Also, completing ANY college degree indicates at one time the degree holder had their shit together at a level to complete a four-year plan of action, mostly getting through registration for classes to complete a degree. True fact: One daughter has a degree in religious studies/anthropology, and the other in English literature; and they’re both married, with real jobs in the financial industry.

Neither education nor savings can protect you from homelessness when everything “goes south” at the same time. Yes, it could happen to you. One bad illness, divorce or pandemic is all it takes.

I have been thinking that Elmont looks like an older version of Zeke.

Maybe he worried more about his morality, the mortality would be less of a concern.

If you’re a derelict who sits in a fog in a carboard box all day,at least you are “doing no harm”,which qualifies you for heaven.
