I hate when the little “help light” goes on so everyone can see that you can’t buy a can of beans without assistance.

I work night crew stocking groceries and use self check when I pick up a few things on the way home

I have worked a checkstand, years ago, I still have managed to screw up and need help

Just a little embarrassing

I refuse to use it. Give me a discount for being an “employee” or pay an employee to do it for me.

Used it once and the associate who was trying to help me had problems. Give me a person who knows what they are doing.

If it doesn’t scan then I figure that the store really doesn’t want me to buy it so I leave it there.

The self checkouts at my strore talk too much and they yell at people. The machines freeze up, have trouble with coupons, and sometimes say stuff that makes no sense! Listening to and dealing with that for 7 or 8 hours gives me a huge headache.

Dewey your using your strip club card ! Geez !

I have used these things in several different places. What I dislike the most is hat we have to do the work of a checker and not get paid for it. I found a package of steaks would make a nice compensation.
