Back to corn cobs and Sears catalogues. Well maybe no catalogues. Obsolete tech devices?

The lumber companies in the USA clear cut a forest to get the lumber out. This means that everything is cleared out, old growth trees for lumber, smaller trees for paper pulp, and the rest is chipped. If there is no need for paper pulp then the price for lumber will go up since the lumber companies lose that income. The companies are required by law to replant trees in the cleared forest. But they do not plant oak, pine, elm, etc., They plant a fast growing hybrid which is harvested in twenty years for pulp. If you want to save a tree, do not buy or use any wood of any kind. Paper is recycled wood is not.
