    So much for the element of surprise…Besides. Animals enjoy the comfort of the couch as much as us because our scent is on the furniture. That makes them feel more comfortable, safe and secure.

    As a teenager, I didn’t like the family cat on my bed. A few long loops of cheap packing tape, sticky side up, convinced him shortly that other nap spots were superior.
