Max is, as usual, ahead on points.

all that will do is teach Max to wait until they leave the house to get up onto the couch. Still, this is cute.

So much for the element of surprise…Besides. Animals enjoy the comfort of the couch as much as us because our scent is on the furniture. That makes them feel more comfortable, safe and secure.
