When we saw it in the theatres, a lot of the audience hadn’t seen any other MCU movies — they were there because it was Black Panther, not because it was Marvel. When the credits started, most of them got up to leave, and we kept telling them “Don’t leave yet! There’s at least one more scene!”
Are the parents crying because the movie was so impactful and inspiring, or because they see their children taking the characters as role models – and know how few good black role models are in movies?

It was a good movie. Losing Chadwick Boseman was a tragedy.
