I’m a moderator on one of my Facebook group pages and, wow, do I get quite some people also wanting to join the the group.

Thank the stars I never got a Facebook (meta) account!!

I don’t do that – the calls from people I don’t know who want to talk to me about my health care, power services, windows (we don’t use the latter) and the like are unnerving enough.

When you belong to a specific club or interest group, you get a lot of friend requests from people with the same interest. I make sure we have “mutual” friends before I accept. And if they never interact with me, I end up “unfriending” them after a couple of months. I think some people just want to say they have 5000 friends. I keep my total number fairly low and constantly “clean up” (delete) people I no longer share interests with…sadly, some of them are HS “friends”.

Meh!!!

Facebook is like a jail. You sit around, waste time, have a profile picture, write on walls and get poked by guys you don’t really know.

AND, how many people whose opinion I don’t care about but I need their approval or my day is ruined.

It’s pretty strange the people I get they say I might know. Really, I don’t know anyone in India. Maybe it’s the help line people?
