I wouldn’t eat it. Lime Jello is alright but i hate marshmallows.

To be that nice to your traditional enemies seems to be somewhat of a stretch!

‘Tis the season evidently. See today’s Dinette set for confirmation. (By the way, don’t expect to get rid of any Jello by dropping it under the table. No self-respecting hound would touch it.)

You forgot the crushed pineapple and cottage cheese. My late MIL’S " every darn occasion" dish.

So, all hostilities will cease between both crews until after Thanksgiving???

Umm.. How can Jello with marshmallows be a family recipe? Pretty lame.

My grandmother put cottage cheese in lime Jello.

My mother used to make a jello dish called Ambrosia. Liked it when very young, not so much as I was growing up but I’m not a big sweets nor fruit guy.

I guess because it was the ’70s and them jello molds were in vogue, I have always liked the lime green jello with marshmallow bits…

…what I liked even MORE was Watergate Salad: pistachio pudding, pineapple, Cool Whip™, crushed pecans, and marshmallows…

Yeah, I liked jello salads with marshmallows, fruit, even some with veggies (especially shredded carrots). It was cheap to make in the 60s. My parents were a teacher and an army corporal, so money was tight. Jello salads made for festive and filling Thanksgiving meals.

I guess it is a challenge every Thanksgiving to pretend to like side dishes you dislike out of courtesy.

My grandmother used to put slaw in lime jello (shuddering at the memory).

Personally, I think lime Jello is pretty awesome. However, I could probably do without the marshmallow bits in it, to be honest.
