It would be nice if the things in the recycle bin (especially plastics) were actually being recycled. Unfortunately, a majority eventually winds up in a landfill somewhere. I’m not saying you should stop recycling but we should hold the plastics industry accountable. Stamping something with a recyclable symbol doesn’t get it recycled.

I have “rescued” items that are being thrown away myself.

Not saving the planet. The planet will still exist. Saving our blorking butts from extinction is the goal.

I believe the planet will take care of itself. That being said, metals should be recycled, but as to plastic, were are in over our head.
