    What?

I guess the “concerned parents are being called terrorists” has metastasized in what passes for Ramirez’s brain? I guess?

Ramirez pushed the false meme that conflates parents school concerns with people threatening school officials and teachers. “Domestic terrorism” is something that was never said by anyone in the Biden administration or DOJ.

Parents should have the first say when deciding what is best for their child, not the government. Period.

I see that the man from Plano (or his he just a plain-o-man?) thinks it’s important for kids to maintain the particular FLAVOR of ignorance that each set of parents prefers. As if being a teacher weren’t already an impossible job. If you don’t like what the public school is doing: MOVE YOUR KIDS! And deal with the consequences of THAT instead of forcing your ignorance down everyone else’s throats.

Conflating being “concerned about school grades” with telling a teacher they can’t teach a book in her class because you object to it are not the same thing.

Ramirez listened to Ted Cruz who lied about Garland calling parents terrorists, but then again, that is what he does.

When my daughter was in elementary school I threatened her with discipline over some matter. She said, “You can’t do that. I’m going to call Children’s Services.”

I replied, “I’ll dial it for you.”

As citizens parents should be allowed to educate their children as they see fit. That choice should never alter the parents tax obligations to society: home school/private school fine, you still owe taxes to support public education. They won’t give back the debt the military industrial complex puts on our backs every year just because we don’t feel they are truly protecting the country anymore, and that I can do just as well from here, 2nd amendment & all

Politics has a way of creeping into the classroom. I remember clearly that in 1958, when my sister was in grade eight, there was a debate in her civics class about whether or not black people were genetically inferior to whites. (The school was still segregated then, four years after Brown v. Board of Education, even though the population in the area was about 30% black.) At the end of the debate, there was a vote, and the students overwhelmingly voted that Yes, blacks are genetically inferior to whites.

“We know where you live and we’re coming for you!” For Ramirez, this is a perfectly valid expression of being ’concerned about your grades.
