She’s complaining about a lack of noise and crowds? It’s so much more convenient to do it online. Nice quiet home, cup of coffee beside you, browse as much as you like, no crowds, people pushing at you, no threat of someone trying to snatch your purse. Take a break and get a snack whenever you want without having to wait in long lines at the food court, not having to shlep your purchases all over, what’s not to like?

I prefer online shopping, and I’m glad I haven’t found that ‘insipid carols’ website.

I live 14 miles from the nearest shopping center. My truck gets 14mpg. It will cost me 2 times whatever gas costs which usually will cover the cost of shipping of an online order. Works good if you don’t need it immediately.
