One year at Heritage Church, my friend Keith and I carefully removed many strings of icicle lights, carefully wrapped them around pieces of cardboard to mitigate tangling, placed the bundles within labeled garbage bags, and put them back in storage. The next year we found out that someone had “carefully” thrown them all away.
