The best thing to happen to me was moving from a town where every male had to play football to a school so big that nobody cared if you played. Some have had several joint replacements in their 30s and nothing to show for it.

And some days he feels like he hasn’t recovered from it.

No, that happens when you are subjected to listening to Wham.
