Yep. I had a very young girlfriend who believed a story about Castro meeting Hitler aboard a U-boat off New Orleans in the 80s, because it was printed in a newspaper (a tabloid for nutters). I told her it was ridiculous, “Do you have any idea of how much it would cost to maintain a U-boat these days?” :)
