Nancy should start her own club, a video club, in order to compete with Lyle’s Movie Club. And, Nancy would instantly have her first member for her club. Sluggo.
Sufficiently old kids will remember Blipverts from the prophetic 20 Minutes Into The Future (starring a future Pepsi spokesman) as the inevitable conclusion of this trend.
Quality matters more than quantity when it comes to experiences… I’m not sure about that, at least not as a universal truth with no exceptions. Gonna have to mull that over… Blast you, Olivia, don’t make me THINK!
You have to find the right movies. I watch a lot of B pix from the 30s to the 50s, black and white, about an hour long. The stories are most often (but not always!) forgettable, but looking at the scenery and absorbing the weird dynamics of our own past by way of fictional presentations is pretty fun.
