When I was a kid, snowball fights would start out as teams against each other. Very shortly it would become a free for all. Much more chaotic, but much more fun.
An old high school friend of mine served in the diplomatic corps in Israel with Ambassador Chris Stephens when he was posted there, and at one point they were ordered on lockdown for the violence on the streets. After her friend died at Benghazi, she posted pictures and remembrances on FB, saying that he’d ignored the lockdown orders and had gone out on the street during a rare snow storm in Jerusalem and instigated a happy snowball fight, Palestinians and Jews together, having the time of their lives because snow was such a rare thing for them, laughing, playing together like kids. Making peaceable good memories together.

More family snowball fights would lead to less problems down the road in my (not so) humble opinion. Fun and love can accomplish a lot in society.
