Nice, for a change, to see a dad portrayed as someone of intelligence instead of a sorry dweeb or couch potato. Of course, a brainy Dad may not be as funny as a Know-Nothing Dad.
I had calculus at 8am/5days/wk in community college many orbits ago. Fortunately, my last semester was just before I transferred to a university as a junior. Reason being, my first upper division engineering class was ‘Fourier Series Analysis using Bessel Functions’. I would have been DIW had I not completed integral calculus the month before.
But what is the JOKE? Dad can’t have “guessed” this complex and unusual equation, and if the kid knows that Dad has indeed helped, he knows enough calc to get the answer himself.
