With mine I had to promise not to sue for age discrimination and promise not to compete. Of course they discriminate. And of course I never competed…………
My company was going replace me with a younger cheaper paying guy. I had my lawyer call H.R. Did not get my job back but got a really outstanding retirementpackage. Then got a part time job elsewhere.

2 out of the last 3 jobs I got laid off from did not give severance pay, one of them did not even pay for unused sick time
