At the risk of sounding trollish, this evening before the turn we were watching LNYDP[London New Years Day “Parade”] LIVE. The British acts in the first hour made me wish that Monty Python or it’s equivalent were still performing.
As entertainment it did seem to get more interesting.
@Linguist Today’s strip IS funny but a repeat , the coppers decision is right , they should le our HERO Mr Andrew Capp have his fun and not prolong their shift :o) my avatar is s a spoof of my birth sign Leo growling at his mate , like I did this morning when my better half woke me up too early, come passerai il vostro secondo giorno del Nouvo Anno mio meno vecchio amico? our Sunday should be calm I hope we are both in a good mood , no early morning drive, no shopping or errands to run just stay in the house keep hydrated and wait till9.30 when we will watch our Archbishop celebrate the Holy Mass on television then dine on Connie’s super Lasagna , keep safe and a bientot pal
7 am and 7 pm are shift change hours around these parts. Anyone who walks the dark side knows that. Also try to find a cop within 2 klicks of the station is impossible. Never see a speed trap nor will you get a ticket for a road offense near the cop shop.
Do Andy and Flo get into fight clouds anymore? Or did that go away when they took Andy’s cigarettes away? Yes, we know the slang term for cigarettes in England.
There’s a school of thought that if two people are fighting, you let them tire themselves out. But if one is being assaulted by the other, you have to intervene.
The professionalism I see presented here mirrors the same employed by Sgt. Colon and Corporal “Nobby” Nobbs in every dicey encounter they have in the pages of the late Sir Terry Pratchett’s “Disc World” saga … ;)

Love a good fight cloud! Guess your resolution to brawl less was a failure Mr Capp!

Officer Grimes? I thought the proper term was Constable.

Nosher requested Guitar Bob play Paul McCartney’s “Michelle” four times in a row. Git the rotter, Andy!

Andy needs to get a job with this police force. They’re barely competent and almost as lazy as he is.

Wow, they were able to identify the combatants in the fight cloud.

I always enjoy the little nod to Batman with the “actions” on the dust cloud.

Basically, they don’t want to get involved.
