I remember a passage from that book where the efficiency expert father recounted how he got his start as a bricklayer’s apprentice and noted that his mentor had two speeds, a faster one for when the boss was watching and the other one which was his normal working speed that he could maintain all day.
i would remind her that the 1st she made was “how nice they are to cuddle”. She could volunteer at a hospital in the maternity ward and cuddle babies there.
