Well, if you have a better idea for getting rid of it, Carly, now is the time to suggest it.

And no, letting it stay is not an acceptable solution, not unless you don’t care for having…y’know…food. :P

Actually, I can sympathize. As I commented on a previous day’s strip, I don’t much care for the idea of common mouse traps either, but at the same time I totally concede that presuming one would never have to resort to such a thing is unrealistic.

Mice urinate and defecate everywhere. You can’t just remove it and be done. Their trail of scent attracts more rodents. Killing a rodent is sad but not evil and Carly needs to learn to respect. Her parents go overboard trying to make a good life for her. I know people for whom a mouse infestation is a lifelong nightmare.

Put the critter in her room every day. Out of sight, out of mind for you. Eventually both of you will be finding your way to a vacant lot ceremoniously release it ‘back to its friends and family’.

Circle of Life, kiddo. They (it’s never just ONE) have chosen to move into the house, and so have chosen a different set of predators.

Mice are cute, but in Len’s case they are pests!

when she wakes up to one nibbling her toes she’ll change her mind. That really happened to my sister-in-laws mother.
