    When we had static on the TV, I had to go outside and rotate the antenna by hand.

    Fun Fact: Around 8% of the static you see & hear on a detuned TV (or hear on a detuned radio) probably originated during the Big Bang (the event, not the show). It’s called Cosmic Background Noise, if you wish to Wikipedia. See also the Holmdel Horn Antenna.
