Not imitation, emu-lated leather.

Besides, cattle don’t follow the Vikings, they follow the Cowboys.

A bit of ostrich of the English language.

I thought it came from Naugas? Where else would Naugahide come from but from fierce wild Naugas, whose vast herds once roamed the plains?

Imitation? I think not I have two pair of ostrich hide western boots and they are far from imitation.

There’s far more leather available than there is demand for it. I have two pairs of the same model shoe. The new pair was acquired to replace the old. The old, though, has leather twice as thick as the new. Why? I don’t expect that thinner leather of the new pair to last as long as the old.

That’s a funny drawing, but I don’t understand the imitation leather thing.

Wanting to be a cow is a bird-brained idea.

Ok – if I’m allowed one serious comment for today (and I hate using it on Argyle Sweater) – they actually do have ostrich leather. My Texas brother-in-law owned a pair of ostrich skin boots. Pretty cool! (We now return you to humorous comments)

That’s a load of bull.

I think we’re supposed to believe that the ostrich wants so badly to be killed and turned into leather that it has disguised itself as a cow, in order to fool ‘em at the slaughterhouse.. Kind of unpleasant as a premise for something amusing. Like Charlie the Tuna is sad because he can’t get turned into sandwiches?

Some folks are confused, will Hilburn egret posting this one?

My guess is that in a reversal of the Chick-fil-Aadvertising, the cows have dressed up the ostrich to resemble a cow, lest they be turned into a footballs. (Note the nervous sidelong glances from two of the cows, perhaps fearing that their ruse will be discovered.)

Why use an ostrich when they make stuff out of the skin/leather? And to confuse this even more—
