It was indeed impressive. The effort involved was intense and the concentration was exceptional. If sports are for exercise, missing the ball vigorously is still good for you.
Doug has more sports talent at his age than I have had for my entire life. Four years in Little League: batting .000; fielding .000; got hit by a pitched ball which broke my finger; tripped over second base and nearly broke my arm - and those occurred on my good days! I “played” in right field unless there were a left-handed batter, in which case the coach moved me to left field temporarily. Ah; the good old days! ☺
