Their girlfriends have been retooled into lesbians. I can only imagine how unsurprised they must be upon finding out that those girls’ love for them was all an illusion.
I, for one, found this quite humorous. I have had the same situation in my life, where I wondered what happened to someone, only to find out they found a same-sex partner. More power to them. Find love where you can and it’s nobody else’s business.
I came to the comments because I have no idea who these characters were 25 years ago, (just started reading a few years ago) … really disappointed that the comments are even remotely about the sexuality of the characters …. had not even occurred to me.

Guess we won’t see them for another 25 years.

There were a couple of good female characters in the movie. Too bad there’s a different copyright holder, and they can’t be shown in the strip.

They haven’t aged well. That’s a pity. They used to be kinda attractive, in a wild animalish way.

Love is love, no matter who’s involved.

For those “upset” over this…
1. Do you find the attractive, or interested in them?
2. Thought you had a chance (yea in this instance they’re comic strip characters) with them?
3. Is their choice hurting you, really hurting you, not just making you feel uncomfortable?
If the answer is no to any of the above, then why are you so upset over this?

Maybe they just got tired of putting up with dumb boys? I applaud love in all forms and do not judge. Go in peace.

I’m not sure why some people are having a problem with this. It’s not like they’ve traded in their go-go boots for more sensible shoes.

If you haven’t heard from a former romantic interest in 25 years, you should probably move on.

Yeah, this may be a bit too much for a family strip

Velma and Luby walk into the sunset sharing new body odors. Their story goes on.
