It snowed here the last two weekends. It is supposed to be 74 Thursday. Welcome to the South.

February is the longest month with the fewest days!

I like how the months come in as a person, with states of like or dislike depending on the weather they bring with them. My faves are the girl months.

Ah, for the days when seasons had to apply for visas before coming in.

It’s a great month to drink beer. They should call it Febrewary!

In the midwest, there is a February thaw that is counted on. Here in the South, we’ve already had two dustings, which is really quite unusual for central SC. That’s two weekends in a row with snow and ice. It was nice to see on the ground and have 90% of it melt by afternoon.

I’ll skip the temperature discussion and only add that the high yesterday was in the 40’s, today, 65. The south, man. I had to have blood work this morning, so I wore a very thick sweater because it was cold (killed my battery, even). By the time I got to the hospital, four miles away, I was sweating.

Yup. We’ve had two snows here this winter (one more severe than the other), along with the most brutally cold temps I can remember. I’ve been ready for March and spring for what feels like months. Almost there …
