One of my cats (long ago passed to the Rainbow Bridge) used to lie under the feeder, I don’t know if he thought a bird was going to fly into his mouth. Very sweet but maybe overly optimistic.
We have a Bombay cat. He, Oscar, is the most vocal cat ever—he never shuts up! At meal time he vocalizes nonstop until we set his bowl of wet food down before him at breakfast and supper. He has dry food all day and eats that at any time he chooses. But the wet food he just goes nuts over. We have another cat, a Torte, but she is a quiet cat but occasionally vocalizes as well but most of the time is quiet. Oscar is diabetic and gets two insulin shots a day. He asks for those every day. If we are a little bit late he starts meowing like crazy until he gets them. O yeah, Oscar is quite a talker!

We can always see the flaws in others as we look around our personal shortcomings!

Scratch is not feeding himself, because that would mean “independently” swimming back to the green ship.

I was wondering in the second panel where was Scratch’s ‘Feed yourself pride’ as Henry prepares the cat food.

Cats and Libertarians: both think they are fiercely independent but, in reality, neither could survive on their own for more than a couple of days.
