    Severe economic sanctions and sending military supplies to Ukraine are the only realistic solutions short of a shooting war. All those screaming about the U.S. knuckling under to Russia, please run down to your local recruiting station.

    Us enable Russia to do everything they are doing, who knew W & trumps foreign policy regarding Europe would make so much sense now, missile defense equipment to Poland anc Czech rep. (Cancel by Obama) no Ukrainian nato membership ( W) getting NATO nations to contribute what they’ve agree to, exporting natural gas to europe. (T)

    Putin is working on the premise that he can disrupt the NATO relationship, and is counting on the disagreements that are inevitable in open societies. It’s the basis for his and China’s claim that western democracies are fatally flawed. FWIW, do note that Russia and China are conducting naval exercises with Iran, timed to occur with the Russia-US talks.
