Bull. Breyer is retiring on his own recognizance, though he has already said that one of the considerations was to give Biden time to replace him before midterm elections.

This is BS. Breyer has been talking about retirement for a while. He merely chose the best time so that Moscow-Mitch would have a hard time tanking the nomination of his replacement like he did with Obama’s nomination of Garland.

Another sorry episode for the shameless Democrats. Excellent depiction, as per usual Mr. Ramirez.

10 bucks whoever replaces won’t be selected as Moscow Mitch will give the same excuse as last time about midterms

Breyer himself is making a political calculation. Horrors. Such crass thinking should never ever enter into the process of filling judicial positions. I’m shocked, shocked, to find that politics is going on in here.

Given his recent performance in hearings on the vax mandate, I’d say he’s lost his fastball. I hope he enjoys his retirement and lives for a long time. He’s earned it.

Too bad RB Ginsburg didn’t show the same consideration, we wouldn’t be stuck the way we are now.

Once again, Ramirez demonstrates just how far he dwells from reality. Breyer is not being forced off, he is retiring of his own accord. No doubt Ramirez and his fellow goose-steppers are hoping they can stymie Biden until they can force a seventh reich-winger onto SCOTUS.

This cartoon is the result of what happened under McConnell and Drumpf. Anthony Kennedy retired at 82 just to give Drumpf a replacement.

Another sorry episode for the shameless Democrats. Excellent depiction, as per usual Mr. Ramirez. OOPS, I meant Antony Kennedy retiring for Trump to seat Kavenaugh on the court. Did you depict that episode in such derisive manner Mr. Ramirez?? Thought not.

There was no problem when Kennedy resigned to give McConnell the same opportunity. I know Trump claimed he was the one to appoint the new one, but all he did was sign where McConnell told him to.

Fitting that the hooks all enter from the left, that’s where the pressure for him to retire comes from. As for his replacement likely being Liberal….meh, so what? Biden gets to nominate whomever he wants, just as Trump did; fair’s fair. If his nominee is considered too far out in left field by Republican Senators, they can try to Bork her (which would be karmic for Biden, he having been one of those responsible for the name becoming a verb back in 1987). Replacement of a Liberal justice with a Liberal justice will leave the overall court balance exactly as it is, with the bonus of the Dem Left Wing will be mollified AND their agitation for court packing may dissipate.

Political cartoons are funniest when there is a solid core of truth in them. This is that. Democrats are definitely pressuring him to get off the stage in time to confirm his replacement before the mid-terms, where they’re rightfully concerned they’ll lose their Senate majority.

And this one isn’t particularly insulting, either. It’s true, it’s amusing. This is an example of being “the loyal opposition.”

They’re saving the hooks for whoever Biden nominates. Manchin and Sinema are now accepting bribes for turning republican.

Both he, and the democrat party can read the tea leaves and see where the senate will flip to republican control in the midterms, and they don’t want to wait until they can’t get their person of choice across the finish line. BTW whoever they get will always be thinking “perhaps I’m not the best, as I was ONLY chosen due my sex, and skin color, and we can all see how that has worked out for our V.P.”. Here’s an idea, how about choosing the best candidate. Just sayin’.

I guess on the left, it’s a complement if you can be replaced by a color. Another win for Putin.

The cartoon is funny in itself - but look at how Ramirez goes the extra mile: those delicate shadows on the curtain.Think of the careless junk that is sucking millions of dollars out of people`s wallets at art auctions.
