Lyle jumps to conclusions too quickly. He dissolved the cinema club over Nancy’s remark. Nancy was saying " This is so cheesy" in reference to her cheese flavored Hot Buttered Popcorn.
Lyle is being a twit, here, and so is Nancy. Is the plural of “twit” “tweet”? (In my experience, the plural of “twit” is “Twitter®,” but I digress.) Speaking from a management perspective, the appropriate next step is to institute a rule that discussion is to follow the screening (which, really, is necessary to make this a “club” rather than people sitting in a theater watching a movie). Then you have a rule Nancy has to follow on pain of removal and Lyle doesn’t get to make personal comments about other people and then throw a tantrum.
I’ve been reading this strip for a long time and do not remember Nancy ever being as annoyingly self-centered than she’s become under this artist’s pen!

I wonder which club Lyle will join and then give up on next because of Nancy.

Wow… Nancy is exactly the kind of person I hate to have around inside a movie theater!
