I’ve heard that cartoonists often base their stories on their real lives as an autobiography, but talk about a gloomy Valentine’s Day theme! I’d hate to be this artist’s romantic companion today. Can you imagine him being stuck on an idea for some romantic evening after he reads this?
It’s situations like this where Nancy reminds of a former coworker (who I really didn’t like). She made it extremely clear that she hated her job (even to the entire managerial staff——people who technically had the power to fire her), but at the same time, she was apparently way too lazy to just go out find another job. I was so happy when she finally got fired——to be honest, I think our workplace did her a huge favor by firing her.

Fair. I’d rather be comfy and stuck than walking and stuck.
An alternate punchline, of course, would be for Nancy to channel Pee Wee and walk home to play videogames.

Basically, teacher’s telling Nancy to get lost. Maybe Nancy should take in a movie.

Nancy is the glue that holds the Robotics Club together, mainly because she is ‘glued’ to that chair.
