This is what happens when Sluggo, who is too poor to purchase proper shoelaces, laces his shoes with some of Nancy and Esther’s kite string.
I didn’t discount the possibility of the visual gags in this series jumping the shark, but I never expected it to be from shoelace-kites.
Schulz once said of Watterson’s drawing of shoes on Calvin, that they looked like little of loafs of bread…same here.
