Stoopid people rule TV news

A female reporter who tells it like it is!! She’s probably not going to be there for long.

I can do that voice, it’s good for a laugh

The best English voices I have heard are from NHK and CBC news readers.

The consultants convinced management it was the thing to do. Until they copy another idea at their next convention. Perhaps a live house band, ala late night talk shows.

They actually train newscasters to talk like that—a friend of mine was a communications major who got a job at a small-town TV station newscast, 20 years ago. They required she put on that newscaster voice with the cadences and inflections that sound so off to my ears.
