Suits are like that. If people aren’t doing their jobs, they assume either that they’re incorrigible, in which case they fire them, or aren’t sufficiently motivated, in which case they throw more money at them. The possibility that they aren’t sufficiently motivated because they’re treated like dirt never occurs to them.
