Can’t mistake the noise of a Harley for anything else. Loud enough to ‘wake up the dead’. Wonder if by 50 the riders are all deaf.

Big trucks with jakes do it, too. Especially in rural areas.

Funny. I remember once back in NY….one morning there was such a rumble that the house felt like it was vibrating. I figured it was a big truck going too fast down our street. Turns out, it HAD been an earthquake! LOL.

Easterners! Sheesh! You never run to a window and open the blinds/drapes/etc. Good way to get a room full of broken glass.

I still sometimes glance up at the streetlights to see if they’re swaying before driving up a ramp. I want to be on solid ground, not an overpass, when the next one hits.

I was born and grew up in America. Moved to Australia in 2009. I never was in an earthquake in the US. Hurricanes and tornadoes, yes.

Come 2010, we had a helluva an earthquake in our small outback town, we’re still finding damage in the house! And we still get aftershocks as well, yeesh.

No one died, thankfully, but we lost a lot of historic buildings :(
