Why even complain to HER. She is literally incapable of providing the relief they are looking for! Not to mention (but I am) that they would have nothing positive to say anyway.
One of my grandmothers actually, practically, on a day by day basis, lived her life by that rule: if you aren’t going to say something nice, don’t say anything at all. It led to some long awkward silences which, probably, sometimes made the point even more eloquently than words would have.
