Kinda like when I had Southwest’s Captain Bounce landing at Midway International. Hit the tarmac hard and bounced twice while landing. For some reason, I was the only one that shouted “AGAIN” when we smoothed out at the end.
Flying a commuter into Pittsburgh we bounced around the sky the whole flight. I was seated right behind the pilot, and got to watch ALS as well as clearly hear the flight path warning signal (essentially a constant tone). When we were disembarking, I gave the pilots a big grin, “I enjoyed that. Good landing.” Under those conditions it was, and I did.
I’ve been on a flight like that. The luggage compartment a row ahead of me had a bad latch and kept popping open and dumping a suitcase on some poor guy’s head. The flight attendant sat down in the aisle seat across so she could leap up and jam it closed every time it popped, but it meant she nearly got her head smashed by the plane lurching downwards a few times. We were the last plane allowed to land, five minutes before a tornado touched down on an outbuilding at that airport, and we skidded sideways for a bit. First time I was ever on a plane where the passengers applauded the pilot once we knew we were safe.
I was returning from Philadelphia to Rochester NY after a rare business trip (hence wearing a suit) when the plane unexpectedly hit some bad turbulence – bad enough that for safety reasons we diverted to a closer airport (Syracuse) and finished our trip by bus. Drink service had just passed our aisle and I was holding a scotch on the rocks, but by executing a kind of sideways figure-8 move did not spill a drop.
Unfortunately the dork sitting to my right reacted to the turbulence by moving his bloody Mary away from his lap to his left – so I got the wet trousers. :-(

To tell the truth, I always thought the turbulence was the best part of a flight. I was disappointed when there wasn’t any.
