I used Calculus once. It was to measure the gallons per inch in a tank that had a sloped bottom and a cone top.
They thanked me for my answers and then measured each inch by hand with a gallon meter and a tape measure. They were off 50 gallons on a 60,000 gallon tank. So very glad I spent a year learning Calculus!!!!

I actually had to use some of those formulas. It was many years after graduating, but it’s a good thing I learned them way back then.
