I wouldn’t have been able to say as much as you, except maybe a comment about his Ozark Airlines commercial. If you have ever seen it you would not recognize him as the comedian we all knew and loved.
My all-time favorite comedian! I wish more people would see the world the way he did. Glad to know he was exactly as you expected. That’s how I pictured him…..and you, too (smiling).
H.T. Webster (who signed his cartoons “Webster”) had a number of running series, one of which “Life’s Darkest Moment” managed to be both funny and cringe-making at the same time.
I was always surprised how the ‘magic’ left when I shook hands with or otherwise touched (put on a mic) famous folk. Yet they were still impressive in more human ways. Beyond their marketing, and handlers.
