The ‘59 Impala was a beauty with two flaws: the front ’eyebrows’ and the rear ‘squinting’ taillights. GM perfected the design in 1960 by dumping those thereby making it one of the most beautiful cars ever built.
My dad had that car! ’65, candy apple red, black interior…first car I ever remember as a kid! (Mostly because of how hot the seats got in the summer…he joked about “fried thigh”!)

I had a 65 Impala. Fun to drive but a money pit. Traded it in for a Toyota Corona Mark 2.

Immediately reminded me of “The Veldt” story. 9/10.

Nice! A ’59 model year Impala. First year as a model; the 58 was a Bel Air Impala.

How old am I? I learned to drive in a ’59 Impala. I was so scared on the parallel parking portion of the driving test. That car was LONG.

A ’59 Impala. One of my dream cars. Love the fins.

Now a discontinued collectors model: the car not the animal.
