We had a basement wall being shoved in by moving groundwater (the house is on the side of a huge hill). They wanted to put a sump pump in every corner for $10,000 and I wanted a barrier and drain system on the uphill side of the house (in addition to the wall repairs). The road at the front of the house is lower than the basement floor so I found it hard to believe that water was building up under the house.
