Of course Angus, the little boy who’s letter starts "Dear Agnes … " received the computer. That’s the only possible way for this story to work out.
I’m thinking it was purposeful because many times when one enters a contest and receives a reply, the company (because they really don’t care to be accurate) will misspell the person’s name!
