Very timely punchline, only 30+ years late…. lol.

Georgia comes in third for US peach production, behind California and South Carolina.

Good peaches are WONDERFUL. But, back while we lived “up north” we went through about 5 years of peaches being awful: pithy texture, little flavor and brownish color. I guessed that it was some combination of picking them too early and taking too long to get them to our markets. We stopped buying them for a long time. Fortunately, we now live in central NC and are able to get excellent peaches.

How about a Nectarine then?

But Pennsylvania hosts the Peachfest every year!

桃 (momo) is “peach” in japanese.  桃子(momoko), literally, “peach child”, is a popular girl’s name. sometimes it’s just “momo.” i’m trying to picture an english speaker’s reaction if a gal walked up and said, “hi, my name is peaches…”

I’m much too young to understand the reference here.
