Good peaches are WONDERFUL. But, back while we lived āup northā we went through about 5 years of peaches being awful: pithy texture, little flavor and brownish color. I guessed that it was some combination of picking them too early and taking too long to get them to our markets. We stopped buying them for a long time. Fortunately, we now live in central NC and are able to get excellent peaches.
