Who in the Western Hemisphere says “Sahib”? Even the smallest country in the hemisphere has a guest worker program, apparently. WAKE UP, AMERICA!! (I’ve always wanted to say that.)

How about Jonny Quest fans with a Haji fixation?

Can we please put this jerk to sleep? Nobody cares about another overpaid, overprivileged athlete that got caught being an idiot.

Nobody cares, PossumPete, but we enjoy a good laugh at someone else’s expense (especially when he makes more per game than I make in a year).

I figure “Cilantro and Tabasco” is a combination of St. Kitts and Nevis (the actual smallest country in the Western Hemisphere) and Trinidad and Tobago (whose largest ethnic group is made up of descendants of workers brought from India during the days of the British Empire). I don’t know how many of the Indo-Trinidadians use “sahib” as a form of address, but it’s likely that a few of them (particularly the ones whose jobs require them to be subservient to rich folks) follow that custom.

Oh, man, Sternvogel! I bet you’re right. Not a day goes by I don’t learn something new somewhere on gocomics. You still have a ways to go to catch up with Runar in educating me, though, so keep ‘em coming. (I’m not being facetious, by the way.)

Thank you Ray C. I used to be a teacher, and old habits die hard.

I’ve done some teaching myself. Not as a profession, but as a GTA, at work, in church, and elsewhere. Love it all.
